Jessamine County 911 is an Enhanced Center and also receives 911 calls from cell phone callers within its jurisdiction.

Jessamine County 911 currently employs:

  • 4 Shift Supervisors
  • 11 Full time Telecommunicators
  • 2 Part-time Telecommunicators  
 The Administrative staff consists of:

  • Administrative Assistant
  • GIS/Addressing Coordinator
  • Deputy Director
  • Director  

The Administrative Staff are each certified through the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC) Career Development program to various levels.  

Each Full Time Telecommunicator must attend and successfully complete the Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) Telecommunications Academy to become certified to the level of Basic Telecommunicator after they are hired. 

After their Basic Certification employees are encouraged to participate in the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC) Career Development program to obtain additional educational certifications of:

  • Intermediate Telecommunicator
  • Advanced Telecommunicator
  • Supervisory
  • Management    

Employees may have obtained numerous levels of Certification. Therefore the employees of Jessamine County 911 have obtained the following levels of KLEC Certification:

  • Basic Telecommunicator -------------- 20

  • Advanced Telecommunicator ---------01
  • Telecommunications Supervisor -----04
